Questions
Questions people ask before they start.
What is performance coaching?
Performance coaching helps you do the things that matter to you at a higher level, with less wear on you. With me it covers mental performance, emotional health, spiritual alignment and physical wellbeing, in whatever mix your life calls for.
Who is it for?
People who are already doing a lot and want to do it better: business owners, executives, professionals, athletes, and men between 30 and 50 who feel stretched thin. It is also for anyone going through a hard stretch who wants someone steady in their corner.
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is not therapy and it is not medical care. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Many people use coaching alongside therapy, and the two can work well together. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Is coaching in person or online?
Online. Calls are by phone or FaceTime, and we message in between. I am based in Fallbrook, California, and I coach clients across the United States.
How much does it cost?
There are four levels: Custom Programming at $100 a month, Foundation Coaching at $200 a month, Signature Coaching at $300 a month and Executive Coaching at $500 a month. Six month plans are paid upfront at a discount. Monthly plans can be canceled anytime.
Do I have to do the fitness and nutrition side?
No. Every level includes the app with workouts and nutrition, but you use as much or as little of it as you want. For many clients the work is mostly mental and emotional.
What happens on a coaching call?
We slow down and talk about what is really going on, what is getting in the way, and what you want. Depending on your level, calls can include guided breathwork and meditation. You leave with something practical to do before the next one.
How quickly will I notice a difference?
It depends on what you are working on. A breathing technique can change how you feel in a few minutes. Habits, fitness and the way you handle stress take months. That is why the six month plans exist.
What are Performance Enhancing Practices?
PEPs are my name for the techniques I have studied, created and refined over 20 years: breathing, meditation and mental practices that support physical performance, mental performance and a sense of calm. I teach them on calls and build them into your daily routine.
Who has Miles worked with?
Everyday people working through life, collegiate and professional athletes, entrepreneurs and coaches. My career includes Harvard University, the University of Miami, Middlesex School, the San Jose Sharks and LA Kings organizations, and Team USA Roller Hockey.

Someone in your corner.
Coaching that adapts to your life instead of asking your life to adapt to a program.
